Flashcards Work — But Only If You Actually Use Them
Flashcards are one of the most effective study methods. But paper cards get lost, apps track you, and most flashcard tools are either too complicated or too expensive.
This tool is different. It's a simple, offline flashcard studio that works in your browser. No account. No data sent anywhere. Just you, your decks, and your study sessions.
How to Use It
Create a deck — Click "New deck" and give it a name. Your deck is stored locally in IndexedDB.
Add cards — Type a question and an answer, then click "Add card". You can add as many cards as you want.
Select your deck — Choose a deck from the dropdown menu. The cards will load automatically.
Study your cards — Click "Reveal answer" to test yourself, then mark the card as "Again", "Good", or "Easy".
Track your progress — The deck stats show how many cards you've studied and your completion percentage.
Export or import — Save your decks as JSON files for backup, or import decks you've exported before.
What This Tool Does
Multiple decks. Organize your flashcards by subject, class, or project.
Unlimited cards. No limits on how many cards per deck or total decks.
Progress tracking. Each card has a "studied" flag. The progress bar shows how much of the deck you've completed.
Study queue. Unstudied cards come first. Studied cards are shown after all unstudied cards are done.
Spaced repetition support. The "Again", "Good", and "Easy" buttons let you control the pace of your learning.
JSON import/export. Backup your decks, move them between devices, or share them with others.
IndexedDB storage. Your data is stored locally in your browser. Close the page and come back — your decks are still there.
100% offline. No internet connection required. You can study anywhere.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is my data stored?
Your decks and cards are stored in IndexedDB, a local database in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server. The data is only accessible on the device you used to create it.
Can I share my decks with someone else?
Yes. Use the "Export JSON" button to download a JSON file. Share that file with anyone, and they can import it using the "Import JSON" button.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
If you clear your browser's site data, your flashcards will be deleted. You can avoid this by exporting your decks as JSON files and keeping them as backups.
Is this really free forever?
Yes. No sign-up, no limits, no hidden costs. This tool is completely free to use, forever.
