Focus Feels Better When You Can See It Grow

The Pomodoro Technique works — 25 minutes of focused work, 5 minutes of rest. It's simple, effective, and has been proven for decades. But there's one problem: it's easy to lose motivation when you're just watching numbers tick down.

This timer adds a visual reward. Every time you complete a focus session, a new tree appears in your forest. You're not just finishing intervals — you're building something you can see.

How to Use the Forest Pomodoro Timer

  1. Set your intervals — Customize the length of focus sessions, short breaks, and long breaks. The defaults are 25, 5, and 15 minutes.
  2. Start the timer — Click "Start" and focus on your work. The timer shows a progress ring so you can see how much time is left.
  3. Take breaks — When the focus session ends, the timer automatically switches to a break. After every 4 focus sessions, you get a longer break.
  4. Grow your forest — Each completed focus session adds a new tree. The tree is random, so your forest grows organically.
  5. Track your progress — The stats panel shows total focus time, completed sessions, and today's sessions.

What Makes This Timer Different

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I close the page during a session?

The timer will stop when you close the page, but your forest and session count are saved automatically. When you come back, you can pick up where you left off.

Can I change the interval lengths?

Yes. Use the settings panel to adjust focus, short break, and long break durations. The changes take effect immediately.

What does "Auto-start next session" do?

When enabled, the timer automatically starts the next session (break or focus) when the current one ends. This reduces friction and keeps you in flow.

Is my data private?

Yes. All data is stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server. Your forest and stats are only accessible on the device you used.
